Host
of Pampaso, evening's Political Show on Accra based Montie FM , Salifu Maase
(popularly known as Mugabe) as well as two of his panelists, Alistair Nelson
and Godwin Ako Gunn who were convicted of contempt by the Supreme Court last
week have been sentenced to four months in prison. In addition, they are to pay
10,000.00 Ghana Cedis each to be paid by Thursday July 28,
which failure to pay the fine will be another term imprisonment.
The panelists, the host of the show and owners of the radio
station were found guilty of contempt charges following threats by
the panelists to kill the Judges.
Meanwhile,
the directors of Montie FM which includes Harry Zakuor, Edward Addo, Ato Ahwoi
and Kwesi Kyei Atuah have been slapped with 30,000.00 Ghana Cedis fine and that
they are to pay this amount by the close of tomorrow, Thursday or face a jail term of one month.
