Angel 92.3FM Set To be Officially Launched This Weekend...Audrey, Shifo, Mawuko On Board

Angel 92.3FM, the new radio station owned by Dr. Kwaku Oteng of Angel Group of Companies is officially set to be launched this weekend. A ceremony to formally open its doors to the business world comes off at the Sunyani Jubilee Park, this Saturday at 7pm.  Ghana's dancehall king, Shatta Wale as well as highlife musicians, Ofori Amponsah  and Dada K.D in collaboration with Adonko bitters will thrill thousands of fans in the Brong Ahafo regional capital as they perform on stage which will climax the official launch of the Sunyani based radio station. The event is expected to be attended by close associates, media owners and some top radio industry players, the station’s management also used the opportunity to unveil some of the names it’s managed to acquire for the roll out. The event is also expected by moderated by Brong Ahafo's finest MC, Tackital Ras Shifo and Audrey Akosua whom this website said they have already joined the media group as well as some notable names in the radio business. Ras Shifo moderating an event in Sunyani Audrey Akosua Emmanuel Mawuko Doe Already joined is Raggae show host, Ras Shifo is expected to bring his years of experience to bear as the station seeks to build a very strong team. As already reported, former Ark FM sports presenter Emmanuel Mawuko Doe has joined the media group in February and has ever since been working with Angel 96.1FM Sports crew in Kumasi. He is expected to be supported by hosts of other relatively known names in the Brong Ahafo region. The station has promised an exciting delivery as it officially begins real programming Saturday, March 18, 2017. Leading its morning show charge is former Storm FM morning show host, Audrey Akosua – who for some years became Sunyani’s biggest female voice on morning radio – and would look to create a following at her new destination. Angel 92.3FM will compete in the Twi-speaking, mass market demographic. The official launch of Angel 92.3FM would also give way for the official unveiling of yet another radio station, Cheers 100.5FM also based in Sunyani. The CEO, Dr. Kwaku Oteng owns a number of business interests including Angel Broadcasting Services which operates Accra based Angel TV, digital television station as well as a good number of commercial radio including: Angel 96.1FM (Kumasi), Pure 95.7FM (Kumasi), Angel 102.9FM (Accra) Angel 92.3FM (Sunyani), Cheers 94.5 (Koforidua) and O 107.7FM(Obuasi).
