The former Fox FM News anchor and Religious show host is part of a crack core of presenters recruited to ensure the station finds its feet.
A good recruitment that should strengthen Silver newsroom, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, an exceptionally gifted journalist, brings to the table an incredible dose of experience across radio and television.
Revered Minister and Celebrated Journalist, Rev. S.K Appiah-Kubi prior to joining Silver FM worked with Accra-Based Television Station, CAPITAL TV Ghana. Kaakyire Kwame Appiah started his radio journey with GBC's Kumasi-based, Garden City Radio from where he moved to Bibiani-Based Adehyee then to Fox FM where he worked for ten years. He later moved to Accra to join Pluzz FM before joining Capital TV.
He is joining a news team that also include Kwame Adumata, formerly of Anigye FM, Angel FM and just recently with Accra-Based Top FM, Kwabena Adjei Kyeremanteng, formerly of Hello FM, Nana Konadu Yiadom, formerly of Metro FM and until recently Bohye FM and the head of news at Silver FM, Kwaku Adu Gyamfi Seiwononi formerly of Nhyira FM, Fox FM and Price FM.
The station is to start full time operations soon and will compete in the Twi-speaking, mass market demographic.
