Personality Profile: Virgin City Radio's Sheikh Adams

After completing Institute of Business Management and Journalism (IBM&J), he started his radio career in the Garden City at Solid fm with the likes of Silver fm’s King Eben, Akwasi Gyamfi formerly of Kessben FM and OTEC FM (now the General
Manager of Obuasi based Time fm), Nana Kalakuta I of Obuasi based Time fm and Opo National (now a radio morning show host in the United States) as a sports producer in the year 2007.

Later in 2009, he switched camp with his boss, Nana Kalakuta I to join Konongo based Virgin City Radio as the local sports news presenter.

At Virgin City Radio, he worked with the likes of one of Ghana’s finest foreign sports news presenter, ‘The Crucial” Summer and Kofi Owusu Jerry now with Kumasi based Angel Fm.

Due to his exploits he has demonstrated over the years, he was almost poached by Kumasi based Ashh fm after King Eben left for Silver fm in July but he declined the move due to his commitment to Virgin City Radio. Beside this, he has attracted several offers from all over the country including one of the top radio stations in Accra.

He currently doubles as the head and host of sports at Virgin City Radio. He is also the programmes manager at the station. 

Listening to him on radio, his line of delivery is perfect; punchlines and everything are second to none. I dove my hat for this guy. He is really doing wonderfully in Konongo. Currently, he is arguably one of the best radio sports presenters in the country.

He is happily married with two kids.
