Afia Schwarzenegger Quits Okay FM



Controversial TV and Radio Personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known
as Afia Schwarzenegger has finally parted ways with her employers – Despite Company.

Afia disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Nkonkonsa.com. According to her a lot of people having being asking her when she would return to Okay FM so she believes now is the time to let the cat out of the bag.

“A lot of people especially my fans on social media keep asking when they are going to hear my voice on Okay FM so let me use this opportunity to clear this once and for all. I no longer work for the Despite Group. I have moved on”.
Asked what led to her departure from Ghana’s most authoritative media company, Afia told Nkonkonsa.com that there is no problem between her and the Despite Group adding she left amicably and there no bad blood.

“There is no problem! I left based on mutual employer – employee understanding. In fact let me add that the Despite Group pampered me much more than all other media houses that I have worked with in the past. They really took care of me and made sure I had everything I wanted”.

Afia also disclosed that the Despite Group continued to pay her salary every month since February 2016 when she went off air from Okay FM and UTV till February 2017.

“What people didn’t know is that, even when I was off air I continued to receive my salary every month for about one year. I want to thank my bosses Dr. Osei Kwame, Dr. Ofori Sarpong and my father Fadda Dickson. They treated me with so much respect and patience. I just want to move on and take up new challenges. I have closed that chapter of my life and I am definitely opening a new chapter but I still remain a friend to the Despite Group”.

As to what her next move is, Afia who is also an Actress and a stand-up Comedian said “Let’s just keep our fingers crossed. All I can say for now is, there is something new and bigger coming”.

Afia hosted a mid-morning radio show on Okay101.7FM “Yewo krom”, and also hosted the controversial ever popular “Kokooko” comic TV show on UTV.
