Ownership of Accra-based Voice
of Moderation Radio has changed hands, enewsgh.com can
confirm.
The new station is to trade as Easy
107.5 FM, and is currently running a test transmission that
is already heavy on commercials from the Group’s other business interests.
Enewsgh.com can add that Easy
107.5 FM is currently operating from Avenor in the capital, Accra,
and shares the same premises as the TODAY newspaper and Spyderlee
Entertainment, all two also owned by GMG.
The VOM acquisition is the Group’s
first major takeover in radio in the Greater Accra Region; it operates other
channels in other regions of Ghana.
GMG also owns the First
Digital TV pay-tv service as well as a good number of
commercial radio and television brands including:
Ahomka Fm (Elmina)
Enyidado FM (Awutu)
