EXCLUSIVE: Y FM unveils app for android, iPhone users

Accra-based Y FM, has created a new application to help improve interactivity among its teaming listeners.

The YFM app which is currently available on Play Store and App Store for both android and iphone users respectively, is a definition of cutting-edge technology to improve accessibility and ease for the current generation who are glued to the technological world.

According to Naveen Singh, Head of Radio at Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), operators of YFM, e.TV and Happy FM, the new YFM app has various enhanced features which has been described as a bundle of joy to use.

Mr. Singh stated that people around the world can join the YFM music family by downloading the app onto their smartphones.

“GMABC as a company is concerned much more with customer satisfaction and will always keep up with the technological trends in the world to ensure that our listeners are always satisfied. As part of the various features, this new app allows users the opportunity to communicate directly with our DJ’s in terms of sending requests using voice notes or text,” he said.

With the app, people around the world get to have first hand information with all YFM social feeds, stream all YFM radio shows, vote on all YFM competitions and read exclusive juicy local and international entertainment gossips and news among others.

Mr. Singh added that exclusive videos from YFM as well as some big artistes will be also available on the app. There will also be a playlist of all songs that are played on-air on YFM.
