VIASAT 1 television which was one of the

been acquired by ECONET MEDIA GROUP,
owned by one of Zimbabwe's serious billionaire, the station will be broadcasting
only sports content for 24hrs under the brand name KWESE FREE SPORTS (KFS).
The station will not *broadcast* anything apart from sports. All programs
have been truncated. Presenters have also been released apart from sports presenters.
Econet Media Group, a subsidiary company of Econet, a
leading diversified telecommunications group with investments and operations
across Africa (8 countries), Europe, South America and the East Asia Pacific
Rim.
The company poses a threat to DSTV super
sports as they provide major league matches on free to air channels across
Africa, they have the right to broadcast these matches across africa. Their
