The Management of Excellence in
Broadcasting (EIB) has formerly commiserated with the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei
Tutu over the demise of his mother, her royal
majesty Afia Serwaa Kobi Ampem,
the Asantehemaa.
The EIB team
was led by founder and chairman Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and his wife Mrs
Akosua Duffuor. They were accompanied by group Chief Executive Kwabena Anokye
Adisi (Bola Ray), Chief Operating officer Klaus VonBackustein and other
managers of the broadcasting powerhouse.
The visit is in line with the Ashanti
tradition and culture.
The late
Ashanti queen will be laid in state for public viewing on Monday January
16. She will be buried at the Breman royal cemetery.
EIB will
cover the entire funeral live on radio and television starting Sunday January
15. EIB also offered airtime worth 500,000ghc.
