Ownership of Accra-based Breeze FM has changed hands, Enewsgh.com can confirm.
The
station, which started some 2 years ago, has been acquired by Groupe Nduom, the
successful local business headed by Businessman/Politician Paa Kwesi Nduom. The
newly acquired property will fall under its Ghana Media Group (GMG) unit, we’ve
gathered.
The
station Breeze 90.9 FM has been off for like a year now after presenters like
Bobie Ansah, Daddy Bosco, DJ Nyammi, and DJ Yoga left.
The
Breeze 90.9 FM acquisition is the Group’s second major takeover in radio in the
Greater Accra Region; it operates other channels in other regions of Ghana.
Enewsgh.com can add that the new station will operate as a mass market
and will share same premises with the recently acquired VOM (now Eezy 107.5
FM), Today Newspaper, and SpyderLee Entertainment at their Avenor offices in
Accra.
GMG
also owns the First Digital TV pay-tv service as well as a good number of
commercial radio and television brands including:
